Fee structure

Jinzhou Medical University, once named Liaoning Medical University (LMU), enjoys a very good reputation in China for its pragmatism and has cultivated numerous outstanding medical talents. Presently there are more than 255 international students studying at the University. It is also actively involved in international academic exchange activities with universities abroad and regularly exchanges scholars and specialists to give lectures. 

Campus Environment

Jinzhou Medical University is located in the province of Liaoning in the north-eastern part of China. It generally consists of three campuses: the main campus, the west campus, and medical college.

Facilities

The university has advanced facilities, including a library with access to the retrieval system for medical documents from the American Medline and the Chinese Medical Institute.

This is an MOE accredited MBBS program. More than 3000 students from 25 countries currently studying MBBS at Liaoning Jinzhou Medical University. There are also foreign teachers with the high success rate of passing Medical Licensing Examinations held by the medical councils in different countries.

Curriculum

Chinese Culture Courses: 

To enable students to learn and live in China and contact with patients during the medical practice, international students must learn Chinese during the whole undergraduate medical program.

Core Courses: 

Anatomy, Histology & Embryology, Psychology, Pharmacology, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Pathophysiology, Surgery, Medical Microbiology, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pediatrics, Medical Immunology, Internal Medicine, Neurology, Pathological Anatomy, Diagnostics, Psychiatrists, Radiodiagnostics, Laboratory Diagnostics, Cell Biology, Medical Genetics, Epidemiology, MedicalImageology, Ophthalmology, Infectious Diseases.

Other Courses: 

Basic medical sciences, Behavioral Science, Humanities, Social science and medical ethics, Preventive medicine, Clinical medicine.

Internship

1. The internship is arranged in the sixth year and last for at least 48 weeks.

2. Students can do the internship in the First Affiliated Hospital of LMU, which is a first-class hospital at grade 3.

3. The hospital has 127 experts, 378 senior professional personnel, 910 beds and 1820 staff.

4. Students don't need to meet any requirement on the HSK level to attend an internship in China, but students need to be able to communicate with patients simply.

Career Plan

1. If students obtain an MBBS degree, they can apply to take the medical licensing examination in the medical council to get registered and practice medicine.

2. Students with MBBS degree can find jobs in government as well as private hospitals, nursing homes, and other health facilities.

3. Graduates can also open up his own clinic or pursue study for a master's degree.

Dormitory

In the main campus, oversea students all live in the student apartment building A, B, and C, and degree students can live in the student apartment building D. Accommodation fee is about RMB 3000~6000 per academic year.

Activities

There are colorful activities in Jinzhou Medical University, such as sports meeting, school anniversaries, and other traditional festival celebrations. International students here all enjoy the wonderful life in the campus.

Vicinity

The main campus is located in Jinzhou city of Liaoning Province Song Po Road 3 No. 40. The school is located in the north of the city, from the station take a taxi to school 10 minutes, but the bus takes half an hour.

1. Acquire a strong ability in medical theories and clinical practices.

3. Students will be helped to choose a hospital from the 9 affiliated hospitals.

4. Graduates will get a graduation certificate and a medical degree given by JMU.

5. The degree in the English copy of will state MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery).

Note: The final examination on Theory Test and Clinical Evaluation must be taken before Graduation.

1. 18 to 30 years old.

2. Healthy & Non- criminal records.

3. IGCSE: Level A.

4. NO IGCSE: Mathematics & Physics & Chemistry & Biology ≥80%.

5. Pass JMU's English interview.

2. The $1000 admission deposit can be used as part of the tuition fee. When paying tuition fee, the deposit will automatically deduct the tuition fee of the same value.

1. What about the ranking of JMU in China?

JMU is a public medical university accredited by the Ministry of Education of China. It is one of the top 50 medical colleges in China and has obtained the English teaching qualification of MBBS awarded by MOE.

2. What’s the qualification of the teachers?

Among the faculty members, there are 823 full-time teachers, 74 of whom have been granted a doctoral degree, 533 associate professors and 219 professors and chief doctors.

3. Is the university located in the downtown?

It is not very close to the city center, but the transportation is very convenient. It only takes about 20 minutes to get to the downtown area.

4. What's the weather like in Liaoning?

It is located in the beautiful costal city Jinzhou. The average temperatures are as follows: Spring: 5°C~20°C; Summer: 25°C~35°C; Autumn: 5°C~20°C; Winter: -10°C~15°C.

5. Is there any airport pick-up service?

JMU provides pick-up service in Beijing Capital International Airport, Shenyang Taoxian International Airport, Jinzhou Bay International Airport, Jinzhou South Railway Station. The pick-up fee is around 1000 RMB.
