If you are planning to study in China, you will have to be able to speak some Chinese. Even if you are going to choose a program taught in English, it will still be better to learn some Chinese. Here in this article, I will make a brief introduction about different kinds of Chinese language program.
Short-term Chinese language Program lasts for several weeks, you can apply for it any time. So it's never too late to apply this program. This program focuses on intensive training in Chinese listening and speaking within a very short period. The courses and activities of this program is specially designed according to students’ requirements.
Long-term Chinese language program lasts more than 3 months, usually at least one semester. This program will be a good choice for international students who have never learnt any Chinese, the course will be divided into ABC course, elementary course, intermediate course or advanced course. Basic Chinese is mainly taught with oral conversation, intensive reading, listening and speaking, newspaper and magazine reading, phonetics, writing etc.
If you don't have any plan for your summer holiday or winter holiday, why not use this period to improve your Chinese level. In the summer/winter camp, there will be Chinese cultural experience activities except normal class, you can try to make Chinese dumpling, learn Peking opera etc, that will bring you lots of fun.
One to one Chinese language program is the best way to improve your Chinese level in a short time. It is special set up according to the needs of different groups. It focuses on student-centered, aim on improving students’ comprehensive language ability. In this program, they use flexible teaching methods, the teaching content is diversity and practicality.
Do you want to be a Chinese teacher to teach other people Chinese? Do you want to find a job in China after graduate? If any of the answers is yes, then you should apply a degree Chinese language program. After 4 years studying Chinese, you will be able to speak Chinese like a native Chinese person, it will surely help you learn more about Chinese culture.
In this program, students could improve Chinese skills in a short time and achieve relevant HSK certificate. The main courses include Chinese Pronunciation, Chinsese Vocabulary, Chinese Grammar, Chinese Reading and Listening, HSK Reading, HSK Writing, HSK Listening, HSK Oral Test, Chinese Daily Conversation etc. To apply many other programs, Hsk certificate will be required, so join a Hsk training program will be really helpful.
